CArd division failure

I was contacted by someone from the call centre regarding my expiring bank cards a few weeks ago. Process was simple. They assured I would be called in a short while to confirm my delivery address.

Today I was contacted by another person to confirm orders for my cards. Which turned out to be a duplicate of the previous order of my credit cards. I had also been to a branch to enquire about my expiring cards and I was told to wait for a call. The call he was placing was actually redundant in this case.

I then enquired about all my cards. I have a savvy bundle (1 Amex credit, 1 Amex debit, 1 MasterCard credit, 1 MasterCard debit) I was not able to check my cards as my handbag was not near me at the time of the call. I told him I recall I have cards that are expiring in March, which is less than 10 days away. He then told me I have none expiring in March, only cards expiring in March 2021. I told him this sounded very strange to me, but accepted the information he gave me.

Apon being able to check my cards, I see I have at lest 2 expiring March 2018. 1 I can see expires in April 2018, the other I don't have with me.

March is les than 10 days away. I will have no bank cards to use should this not be cleared promptly.

I am very disappointed in the incoherence of the department, and lack of clarity. Extremely frustrated with this service. I am unable to do anything my self at branch level, I am at the mercy of people at the call centre, who obviously do not have the correct information or are not checking the system correctly.

I am also curious as to why I wasn't given other card options or marketed other services on offer at this time. I have had many calls and info sent to me from other banks about Young Professionals programs etc. But none from the bank I have been with for as long as I can remember. Very disappointing, and overall bad marketing.
