Bond account number ***
This is the 2nd review I am writing abount Nedbank Home loans within a space of 2 to 3 weeks. I wrote a review abount them regarding my home loan insurance and what it covers. Even though the matter was resolved I was not completely satistified but I let it go and accepted the offer I was given to do the repairs myself. Earlier this week I contacted Nedbank Home loans again regarding a different matter. I am currently renovating my home and building an extra appartment on top of the existing one. This in my mind will increase the value of my property should I want to sell it at some stage of do some rentals. According to my bond structure I currently have some equity bond available whic if need be I can withdraw. R40,000.00 - FOURTY THOUSAND RANDS (EXCESS BOND) I have internet banking therefore I could have just transferred this available cash to my cheque account however I did not do that because I need more than what is currently available to transfer. I therefore called Nedbank home loans and the lady I spoke to confirmed the availabilty and even said I could increase it myself via my internet banking. I said to her I would rather prefare to go to a branch and let them help me do it there because I might not be able to do the increase myself. I went to Nebank Maponya Mall and told them what I was there fore they also said I should do it myself I told them my challenges and was allocated a ticket in order to see one of thier staff members who would assist me. My turn came I was called and attended by a teller, she checked thier system and asked me how much I needed I said I need more than the R40,000-00 available she then said if that is the case I should by assisted by a consulatant who would then help me to make get the money I needed. The consultant struggled and called some of his other colleques, they tried and could not do it, ultimately he said the best way for me is to apply for a re-advance meaning an extra loan over and above what IN currently have. He said this process is longer and is the same as someone applying for a new bond. He further advised that I would have to bring payslips, and all the other paper work that is required when somebody applies for the 1st time also I will be subjected to affordability, credir checks etc. This raised my blood presure, I dealt with 2 other agents before and both of them said I can draw what is available and now this man tells me a different story??????????? What is this excess bond for if it cannot help me. I have been paying the bong for over 10 years now and there are funds available for me to use between the current balance and what I have paid so far, why treat this like I am applying for a new bond and why staff members are telling different storires, why does my internet profile say I have R40,000.00 available to withdraw? I am not looking to have a good time I am doing renovations and extending my house, what is the problem? Why should I even explain what I need the money for? Nowhere does it say in order to get this funds one will be treated like a 1st time home buyer. I am aware that the installment will increase slighlty and I am willing to pay that. I am very unhappy with Nedbank, I pay a huge amount of insurance for this bond, I have probably claimed twice for the gyser and recently for the roof, what I am saying here is that I hardly ever use all the extras that I am entittled to. Are they doing this to me because I am older? The very 1st person I dealt with should have told me about the T&C,s but she said the money was available to draw or transfer to my cheque account hence I drove to the bank to do this transaction there. I need this excess bond.
Thank you.
