Beware opening a Nedbank account

This is a warning to Nedbank clients. I’m not expecting a reply to this as I have been trying since mid July to get some answer by ‘Contact Us’, e-mails and telephone call. I’ve always been extremely happy with Nedbank as it used to work very well with queries or complaints being addressed within a few days. And have always recommended Nedbank to anyone wishing to change banks. This all seems to be in decline now. My issue is that in spite of having an account that is not meant to attract any fees, I have been charged R10.00 for each statement I have downloaded. Any charge is ridiculous because why would it cost Nedbank anything for a client to download a statement stored in a data base? In fact the cost is to the client in data. I am always getting e-mails encouraging over 55’s to open an account and I hear plenty of advertising and competitions over the radio offering prize money. 6 months free for opening a business account. Yet they are getting rich unfairly on loyal clients. So be warned about being lured into opening a Nedbank account. If you have any complaints you get nowhere.
