BEWARE: Nedbank increases instalments even after an Interest Rate DECREASE

Nedbank has on at least two occasions increased the instalment on my Homeloan after the rates were decreased. When I called 04 August 2025, I was told that my instalment was increased to ensure that the payments in my remaining term will lead to the balance going down to zero. Since I was not happy with the explanation, I requested the matter to be escalated. I also requested the explanation as to why my instalment was also increased in September 2024 following a rate reduction as well. I also requested that I be sent the statement of my account for the entire term of my loan so that I can check these unwarranted changes of instalments which are not in line with the rate movement. The assigned consultant respondent and sent me the mail basically saying the same thing as the Contact Centre agent, and then told me she was closing the case. She did not say anything about the other requests that formed part of the query (i.e. the September 2024 change explanation and provision of the statement of account). I then responded asking her not to close the case and offered her some calculations worked out from my end. This was on the 5th August 2025. However, I received neither response no acknowledgment of my mail save for the automated response from the Clientfeedback mailbox. I subsequent to that, made several emails follow-ups, which were similarly ignored. About a month later, still no response
