********* behavior
I have a Home Loan with Nedbank since 2018 and was paying my installments on time intil recently, in November 2025 where I fell behind with one payment. I knew I would get a bonus in February 2026 and pay the outstanding installment at the end of February 2026. They sent me an eamail which I was going to respond to and I had responded to but simultaneously double debited my account at the end of January 2026, leaving me without extra money to buy my family food or provide money for expenses until my next paycheck. When I. called to query their behavior I was rudely and in a very arrogant way told that the bank has the right to do that becauae I was behind with my installments.I engaged with Le Jean Pieterse and then his supervisor Esmie Favids also told me the bank can do what they want etc and we the consumers has no option. She even went as far as telling me that I wouldn't get a rrfund irrespective whether I can make it to the next month or not and obviously she and Nedbank doesn't care about the wellbeing of any individual. Who can afford a double debit on their accounts in January, really? Is that so difficult to have an conversation with your clients and informing thhem of what action you might take. Why are our government silent on this practice by Banks against anyof their clients. One month and this is what I get for being a loyal client almost for 8 yeara? Are Nedbank even following their obligations towards their clienta mandate? Such is life, there's no morality just business. I would not ever engaged with Nedbank after my Home Loan ends and I would never recommend them. Hope one of their shareholders see this post or their Ceo who earns 250milliin a year in remuneración.
