My complain goes back to 14 February 2020 when the demise of Mr C Albert was reported to Nedbank. This letter mentioned a cheque account of the deceased, but not a credit card. Their Client Information System should have been able to see that the deceased had a Credit Card Account and the necessary should have been done by Nedbank. However, on 9 March, a further letter was sent to Nedbank and a Raeesah Sader with all the necessary documents. They were specifically asked to record the status of the client and they were asked for Tax Certificates for income tax returns. I then recvieved a letter of demand from Peers Attorneys demanding that an amount of R2,717.62 be paid to them as their client had not met his obligations. How could he when he is deceased. Then they refer to the account as a 'current account and not a credit card account? This amount has since been paid and it obviously occured costs and legal fees. We have had no acknowledgement of receipt of the amount in question. This is also not acceptable. Lastly, they were advise in February about the demise of Mr Albert and as at 4 April they have still not changed the status of the account to Estate Late C Albert.. This is certainly the last time I will have any dealings with Nedbank.
