Bank Guarantee - "General session" & "offset of debt" agreements

All my banking is with NEDBANK and therefor I thought nothing of it to use them to have a Bank Guarantee issued. We opened an investment account, which were to be ceded for the purpose of the guarantee. No problem right?? Until I read the documents put in front of me, which is clearly not just pertaining to the guarantee. With signing this document, one will cede any current and future assets to NEDBANK for any current and future debt as well!!! Not to mention all the other shocking terms. They also expected me to sign an additional document "offset of debt" which gives them the right to offset any debt with them against this investment, now keep in mind that the investment should be ceded for a guarantee due to a third party.

When I refused to sign these documents, they refused to issue the guarantee and charged me for it. (I am still awaiting a response on the refund of the R1070 I had to pay)
