Bank charges Reversal

Good Afternoon

i am realy lost for words,

I would need assistance regarding Nedbank Personal loan department, I have been calling Nedbank everyday for my refund with no luck. I called on the 5th of February 2024 that I have changed my salary date from the 25th to the last day of the month and still Nedbank deducts on the 23rd of Feb 2024 in so doing I incurred bank charges for R150 from my bank. On the 23rd of February, the debit order went through my bank and indeed bounced as the was no funds on the account furthermore on the 19th of March I got an SMS stating and I quote.

“Nedbank: Streamline your finances with ease. Your Personal Loan ********* monthly debit order date is not aligned to your salary date, so we are changing it to 23 Mar to match your salary date. Call us on *** before 20/03 to OPT OUT. Your financial peace of mind matters to us”.

I then called the bank to explain that the debit order can only run on the last day of the month the lady who assisted me confirmed on their side everything it set for the last day of the month. Call Ref No ***7, to my surprise the debit order went through on the 24th of March again with no funds in the account. I called the bank on the 25th to ask for advice from the bank as to how to get my money back.

I was then advice to send the bank statement that proves that Nedbank debited me I sent it on the 25 February 2024 at 18h59 with no response or acknowledgement of an email from Nedbank. I then called the bank again on the 27 th February 2024 at 16h15 spoke to the guy who advised that the department has nocked off they will give me a call this morning of the 28th of February I am still waiting for their call.

I have attached the bank statement for the refund on the R150x2 as this is not my fault. I have attached the copy of the email that I sent to Nedbank on 2 occasions.

I feel Nedbank is taking advantage of the matter that they are a big organization, and they are untouchable
