Bad service

To whom this may concern

I am a Nedbank Professional Banking client and it is only recently that I have upgraded my account to the professional banking package, however I have been a Nedbank client for quite a number of years.

Before agreeing to upgrade my account, I was told that I will have a dedicated banker to address my specific needs. I liked this feature about this package because I do not like going to the bank and having to queue.

The transition was seamless and quite smooth, my allocated banker (Kogi Hector) would always respond to my emails promptly and she was always readily available to help whenever I needed her to. She even managed to get my bond approved at a good interest rate.

I have recently relocated to China and before my relocation, I sent her an extensive email outlining that I will be moving overseas and that I need clarity on a few things.

Among my requests was the following.

Link my bond account to my profile

She forwarded my email to the relevant department within Nedbank and asked that they action it. I made the initial request on the 11th of October when I was still in South Africa, I have had no feedback whatsoever. On the 22 of November I sent a follow up email and cc’d her manager Masetabela Mokhatla. Her manager responded to my email saying that I need to sign an attached indemnity and submit the original back to her. I explained to her that I could provide her with the original and she told me to post the original document and address it to her. However she did say that she would be able to action this particular request with a scanned copy but for another subsequent request she would need the original. This left me confused because when I went to see Kogi she assured me that I had signed all the documents that I needed to sign.

Power of attorneys over my account to my mother

She made my mom and I sign forms and ended up not actioning this request

In light of all this I would like to downgrade my account to one that doesn’t not have any relationship banker while I look for another bank that will meet my needs
