Bad Service

1. I approached Nedbank at Carnival Mall on the 02/09/2017 to collect one of my replacement cards which is due to expire. I had received an sms from nedbank confirming that my ca5rd was in store and ready for collection and also advising that i should bring myID Card and latest utility bill, which i did. However instead of leaving with my new card i was informed that i need to complete elaborate forms known as declaration of wealth forms, which by the way require further supporting documents and or Affidavits. I was thus denied my replacement cards till all those forms and supporting documents are filed. While i struggle to undersatand the relevance of this declaration to card collections, especially where fica has been done, it would be great if these requirements are communicated to clients instead of the misleading sms. I say that the sms is misleading as it advised that all that's needed is my ID and latest utility bill, only to be turned away at the branch. It is my humble belief that even if these were new legislative requirements, better communication in this regard is required.

2. I further made an application for a new investment product and instructed nedbank to transfer funds into the investment. The advisor duly completed a deposit slip for the transfer and advised me to hand to the teller, who will effect the transfer, which i did. I however discovered on 03/09/2017 that the funds were transfered into the wrong account. I am very disappointed in the service i received from Nedbank and having banked with Nedbank for more than 10 years, i really expected moere from Nedbank.
