Bad Bad Bad Bad Very Bad... CREDIT CARD DIVISION

What a bad experience. I app**** for a credit card at nedbank and never got any correspondence if my credit card was successfully or not. Now a month later I get a statement with a due balance. I do not even have a card and yet I am expected to pay for something I don't have. Nothing was explained to me and I was never even informed of the outcome or where my card could be delivered. I am not even currently aware that I have a credit card with Nedbank. Is this a fair consumer treatment? And when I contacted them to enquire about this, no one is willing to help or explain except that I need to pay
