Awaiting feedback

Good Day,

After my hellopeter post 29/05...

A lady did indeed phone me yesterday afternoon to find out what the problem was,she was going to contact the branch where I handed in my documents...have not heard back since then.

Sure I understand Nedbank needs to be FICA compliant but surely if every other financial institution has accepted the exact same ID book....what is the difference?Somewhere this copy must be on record with FICA?There is difference between a **** ID and the genuine.Surely someone can tell?

Anyway some advise will be appreciated.

Must I go apply for a temp ID?Together with my original ID from Home Affairs surely this should suffice?

AS per FICA website / guidelines :

Clarification of an official identity document
The Regulations define an identification document in respect of a natural person who is a citizen of, or resident in, the Republic of South Africa, as an official identity document. The Department of Home Affairs describes an official identity document as a green bar-coded identity document. Therefore, old identity documents may not be construed as official identity documents.

Regulation 4 of the Regulations, however, provides for exceptional cases in which a person is unable to produce an official identity document. In such instances, the accountable institution must be satisfied that the client has an acceptable reason for being unable to produce an official identity document. This reason should be noted in the records of the accountable institution. The note should also reflect the details of the staff member who recorded the information. The accountable institution may then accept an alternative document, which contains the person’s:

photograph;
full names or initials and surname;
date of birth; and
identity number.

It is good business practice for the staff member to also include the date on the note. The purpose of dating documents in this instance is an indication that the verification of the client was done at the take on stage of the relationship.

The following are examples of documents that may be accepted in such exceptional circumstances as an alternative form of verification:
South African driver's licence; or
South African passport.

Please note these are not the only accepted documents but examples.

No one could help me at the call centre this morning.

I don't need a loan 2 months from now.

Reviewer Update

Good Day

This is to confirm that a nice lady named Petronella did contact me yesterday 30/05 and that we have reached an understanding.

I do not like to bad mouth any company ,unnecessarily in anger,but I will say Nedbank does indeed care enough to respond to their clients and even their non clients.

Thank you for your feedback and getting back to me which is far more than what other companies do.

Therefore,I have increased your star rating.

You do indeed offer good customer service and care enough to want to resolve the matter.
