ATM Retained my deposit

I made a payment deposit at the ATM for a Nedbank customer but the deposit did not go through. The cash was retained since the 22nd of September. I called to lodge a complaint but no response has been given me yet and I can't confirm if cash has reflected in the recipients account or still locked up in the ATM system.
