At Last. 4 years and 5 months later.
Ironic! Today would have been our 48th wedding anniversary, and Nedbank delivered my late wife's original ID book and original Death Certificate today. THEY HAVE HAD IT SINCE 11 MARCH 2016 WHEN SHE DIED.. Yes, dear readers, it has taken then 4 years and 5 months to process her estate. We were married COP and I was sole beneficiary. Our children both signed that they were not contesting the will. Nothing complicated. My brother-in-law was co-executor and only 2 years after her death and a comment to Hello Peter, did Nedbank START processing anything and approached him for his signature. After 4 years they discovered that she had a few Sanlam shares that required selling. I received a circular mail blaming Covid 19 lockdown for the delay. Our joint will was with Old Mutual who gave Nedbank the job of handling it. Our children have immigrated an, had Nedbank not been so ***********, I would have been in New Zealand with my daughter who could, at that time, have sponsored my emigration. My advice is to avoid Old Mutual and Nedbank with your last administrative duties on Planet Earth.
