asked account to be closed but they didn't close it

I made a call 2 or 3 weeks back to ask the agent to close my account as i don't need anymore

She then said she will proceed to the home loans department to find out why they rejected my home loan application and will proceed with my request and also provide feed back.

That was not done i can see account is still active after i requested it to be closed.
