Ask once I think not!

I collected my new debit card yesterday and after a half and hour wait, was issued with it. I was told, by the consultant, that it did not need activation as it was a 'follow-up card!' When I attempted to use it last night, at a grocer, it would night accept my pin. Fortunately I kept the old card and could use that. I returned to the branch today to have it 'coded', and, because of the monstrous queue at enquiries, I approached an idle teller for assistence. 'Malibongwa' informed me that I was to fall into the enquiries queue again and the he was unable to assist me. I then asked if I could be refered to the branch manager, as I was unwilling to spend a probable hour waiting to be assisted. I was informed that he could not do that either! The ineptitude of the elderly consultant, who initially assisted me, now means I have to spend my, rather valuable and meager resourses to correct her 'shool-boy' error. Is my miniscule contribution to their company not valuable enough? If I were by the means, I would take my business elsewhere. I guess this means they really have me by the short and curlies! Come on Nedbank! Make good on your slogan and 'make things happen!'
