Approving loan application and later declining it
I app**** for a Nedbank home loan at the end pm May 2015.<br> <br> 4 June 2015: My townhouse was evaluated by 2 Nedbank evaluators.<br> <br> 5 June 2015: My credit was approved subject to property evaluation and no other information coming forward that would affect loan application<br> <br> 9 June 2015: Home loan approved and quotation sent to me via email.<br> <br> 9June 2015: Consultant from the grove mall branch where I submitted the application called to let me know that the loan was approved. She asked if I had seen my email and if I was happy with the quote, I said yes. She then said she would call \them"and let them know they could proceed with the application.<br> <br> 12 June 2015: 11:15am - I received a call from Nedbank congratulating me on loan being approved and verifying details as per the quote that was sent on 9 June. I was also told that I would be contacted by lawyers within 48 hours for contract signing.<br> <br> 12 June 2015: 12:09pm - received an email from Nedbank letting me know that my loan was decline because the value of my property had not gone up enough.<br> <br> Why didn't Nedbank check all facts before approving my loan in the first place?<br> <br> What they did hurts and is *********. :-( :-( :-("""
