AMEX/VISA and SAA VOYAGER

I received a letter from SAA-Voyager stating that I had enough Voyager Miles for a free companion ticket: 129 000 miles.<br> <br> I decided to go to Brisbane (Australia) and book a ticket for my husband and myself. Since SAA only flies to Perth I had to get two additional tickets from Perth to Brisbane from Qantas. <br> <br> Total cost with SAA-Voyager miles included (1 free companion ticket).<br> <br> R15 701.72 One ticket to Perth for ONE person<br> <br> R6 021.72 Airport Taxes for the free companion ticket<br> <br> R14 300.00 Qantas Airlines (2 tickets from Perth to Brisbane)<br> <br> TOTAL COST R36 023.44<br> <br> Had I decided NOT TO USE the FREE COMPANION TICKET \courtesy"of SAA-VOYAGER:<br> 2 air tickets from Johannesburg to Sidney then Brisbane with QANTAS AIRLINES<br> R28 994 .<br> I was ripped of in R7.028<br> I would like to know what is the benefit of having SAA-VOYAGER MILES and having the credit cards (I have AMEX & VISA) with NEDBANK? Please remember that we pay a high fee every year to have those 2 credit cards.<br> <br> I am a very unhappy customer and I am considering closing my husband and my credit cards with NEDBANK /SAA.<br> I'm using this **** for many years"
