AMEX card was put on hold

<p>I suffered the embarrassment of my amex card being declined with a trolley full of groceries knowing I have available funds. Phoned nedbank lifted hold and told me to go to my nearest branch to encode card again. When I got there enquiries told me its takes 24 hours to lift hold and that I can only use my card on Monday. Frustrated and left without funds I needed all because someone just decided to put my card on hold. How can you do that without notifying me first???? This could of been an emergency.
