Added new fees to my account without warning

Nedbank suddenly started charging fees per transaction on an account that is supposed to have a fixed monthly fee. I was not warned beforehand that anything was going to change. When I contact customer care (online / telephonically) they simply state that the new fees are correct for my account type. I have asked twice to be called by someone in management that would be able to address my questions, but this has not happened either. This seems to communicate very clearly that to Nedbank I am just a number & I will therefore endeavour to remove than number from their books ASAP.

Your concerns have been noted and a resolution manager will contact you to discuss the way forward.

Kind regards

Dear Nedbank

I am still waiting for someone to contact me, which leaves me with some possible conclusions:
  1. Your reply was system generated and therefore quite meaningless.
  2. You have so many complaints that your resolution managers can't keep up.
  3. You really just don't care about your clients.

Regards

Good news - I received the following email today:

"Good day Mr Meyer

We received communication that the account will revert back to a go banking account and service fee reversals will be done on the 31/07/2019

A fix has been implemented on our systems."

So I am hoping that this will indeed happen, so that I can write a positive review to start off August 2019 :)

Dear Nedbank

The date on which the reversals were supposed to happen has come and gone, but I don't see anything on my account yet.

I have received written commitments from Nedbank via email and SMS, so I would expect Nedbank to fix this very soon, or carry the full costs of transferring all my accounts to another bank due to not abiding by your own commitments.

Please contact me with a very clear explanation of what to expect when, because I would prefer not to be forced to take this matter to the FSB / FSCA.
