Account holder not important to Nedbank

On the 27th Jan I realized that I had been ****med by a *****ulent loan company and immediately contacted Nedbank to reverse two payments totalling R7,900. I was told to go into the branch to fill in forms which I did the very next day. When I phoned I was told that they could not reverse the payments because the account holder refused to return the funds. My argument was that I was their client and surely they should be protecting my interests. The matter was also reported to SAP *****. I have contacted Nedbank a few times to get feedback without any success. The SAP phoned me today stating that their investigations revealed that the one banking account does not even exist so I must ask Nedbank where the funds went to. The address of the account holder does not exist either. Nedbank would not reverse the deposit but charged me R798.00 as an Eft Reverse Charge. So a client of a long amount of years does not deserve protection. I fully agree that it was my fault to believe in a *****ulent company but fully expected Nedbank to help and protect me after I provided them with evidence of the *****. I reported the matter immediately., provided proof of *****, followed up regularly and still got penalised by my Bank. I had to phone the results for the Bank. I spoke to them today and expressed my utter disappointment and was told they would investigate and get back to me. I suppose I should realize that I am not going to get my funds back. I am definitely not at all happy with Nedbank.
