Account Arbitrarily Restricted Without Clarity - Nedbank

Despite completing my FICA in 2023 (which should be valid for five years), my account has been arbitrarily restricted. I went to the branch again today and have made several calls over the past days, yet no one can explain what the actual FICA issue is. Even after multiple escalations, I have received no clear feedback or resolution.

This situation has left me completely prejudiced – I cannot access or transact with my own hard-earned money. To make matters worse, my card was first unrestricted and then restricted again without reason or communication. The branches themselves are unable to assist and simply redirect me elsewhere.

It is unacceptable that after more than 20 years with Nedbank, my account can be suspended without explanation, leaving me in financial distress. Customers deserve transparency, proper communication, and accountability – not endless frustration and unanswered escalations.
