Access to account revoked after retrenchment claim

I'd been retrenched early in 2017 and subsequently put in a retrenchment claim with my Nedbank American Express credit card. The claim was approved and paid out and understandably I could no longer use the funds on the card. I'd tried to, however, view my account statement and change my phone number online (as my number had changed) - but was no longer allowed to view my account. I visited the Nedbank Tygervalley branch to enquire as to why I wasn't allowed to view my account. I understand that my funds may be frozen, but I should still be able to view my account. I was informed that there was no way I would be able to view my account until such time as I reapply for credit by submitting a payslip and bank statement. I informed the bank that this was in breach of NCR regulations as I could not be prohibited from viewing an account that I still owed money on, but was told that there was nothing they could do. I've subsequently not been able to view my account or make changes to it even though I assume I still owe money on the account.

Please note, your Nedbank respondent instructed me to visit my branch. I've posted a subsequent complaint, and will be taking all my correspondence to the NCR and Ombudsmen to review Nedbank's conduct and refusal to grant me account acccess.
