A year later: Nedbank refuses to Help

I am winding up an estate. The deceased signed surety for an overdaft of a business he was no longer involved in. He owned a half share in the property the business rents and bequeathed this to the current owner of the business. It is now a year later and we are still trying to get the title deeds from the bank to register the half share to the beneficiary. The bank refuses to release the title deeds unless `guarantees` are given, also `normal credit criteria apply` Mr. Marshall only answers every third email or so and then with vague replies and basically just stalls. At first he says the conveyancing attorneys must send a letter requesting the release and then asks for the letter to be changed and then says that the estate must pay off the business overdraft before the title deeds will be released. I then sought advice from a lawyer and we have gone through exactly the same process. Very much the same thing happened to me before I enlisted the help of the above professionals.<br> It is now about 3 weeks or more since Mr. Marshall said he would refer the matter to the legal department and we have had no replies to any emails sent. The complaints dept. also is no help.
