50% of Attorney fees all a lie

This bank are lying to their clients to to get clients and when they must give back to their clients they are full of excuses.

Our Retails Relationship Banker, assisted us with our building loan application. We have created the online application, completing all the details with him assisting us submitting the documents after I have provided him with the login details. Being advised from his that we will get up to 1.5 cash back and 50% discount on attorney fees from Nedbank.

After we received our outcome and quote he informed us that we will not qualify for these benefits because we didn’t do the application online.

Saying New and existing Nedbank Home Loans clients who meet the following requirements may be eligible to receive the 50% discount on the bond attorney registration fee: 3.1 Existing home loans clients who apply online for a bond on a second property online, without cancelling their existing bond. 3.2 Clients who have app**** for finance with Nedbank home loans for their new home through the following home loan direct channels: • the home loan online application channel; • the Nedbank Contact Centre; • Nedbank Retail Relationship Banking.

I don’t understand why we do not qualify the documents clearly state that we do qualify even if a Retail Relationship banker assist us under point 3.2. and he is a Retail Relationship Banker (that is what is stated on his email signature as well)

If he knew initially we will not qualify because “you need to do every exclusively only”, why did he still advise us we will get this benefits and why didn’t he told us to do everything online and assisted us afterwards?

I am very disappointed we did not budget to pay the full amount that we will need to pay upon registration because in our minds we are eligible for these benefits.

Do not believe anything you see on the banks website untill you have everything in writing.
