45 minutes in queue

My new card had been sent to Bayside, not Canal Walk as requested. I queued for 25 minutes before reaching the front, only to see one of the two service consultants leave his desk and disappear-the other consultant was busy with a complicated query which had not been resolved by the time I left. To add insult to injury 2 foreign ladies who had only been in the queue a short time started complaining and were given priority treatment by a Nedbank employee, despite loud objections from the rest of us. The manager finally heard the raised voices and went to find the absent consultant and I thought that this farcical ordeal might be coming to an end. But NO-my card had to be activated with a pin number and the consultant struggled with the system for 10 minutes before telling me it was now OFFLINE. I took my unactivated card and left, seriously annoyed with the general incompetency of this bank and this branch. The previous system of a separate queue for collections worked but in true Nedbank style they changed it to inconvenience the client as much as possible.Congratulations!
