Application to open account refused

I have app**** to open an account with this bank for my aunt who is over 90 years old. The account is in order to invest the money from the sale of her house. I have a Lasting Power of Attorney. All required documents were supp****. We are looking at investing a fair amount of money<br> Our application has been refused. No explanation given, other than they have used an outside assessment agency who apparently dont have to explain theie decision. Seems a strange way to do business! I would like to know on what grounds our application has been turned down.
