DISREGARD OF ITHUBA CLIENTS BY STAFF MEMBERS
From the reviews I am seeing online, it is clear that ithuba employees don't realize that lottery players are their bosses and pay their salaries. I won lotto before and the service was excellent. This time I submitted my claim at their offices in Sandton on Monday morning and was assured by a Whitney that I'd be paid by Thursday the 4th of June. Come Thursday I called to check for progress in the morning. A call centre agent informed me she would send an email to Whitney to follow up on my matter. She also advised that should i not get a call from Whitney, i was welcome to call again. Soon after midday i called Sandton office, but Whitney informed me that she had not seen the email, however she would do so and follow up with finance department and call me back. I called again at about 15:30 and was informed Whitney was gone without giving me any feedback. The lady I spoke to then promised to ensure that I get feedback from finance department. Indeed another lady called me from that department. Without mincing words, she promised that my winnings were in line to be paid and that I should worry because I'd be paid since their offices close at 18:00. Come 18:00 and beyond up to Friday morning, no payment has been made.
I feel like these people do not see themselves as service providers. They probably feel like they are doing us a favor by processing our payments. This has to stop. Clearly, this belief that lotto is being played by poor and uneducated people makes these people believe that they can mistreat, disrespect and take clients of Ithuba. This is unacceptable. I was most probably among the first people to arrive at offices of ithuba on Monday since I had arrived at about 9am on Monday, yet here am i being inconvenienced by unprofessional conduct of Ithuba employees.
