Made to pay twice

The payment distribution company duly made payments to a creditor, Rage Shoes. The last payment was in May 2023. The payment distribution company's statement testifies to this. Now in July 2025 when I am supposed to get my clearance certificate from NDC, I get informed that there is an amount just over a thousand rand due to Rage. How was this not raised in 2023, and Rage possibly taking legal action, which they are entitled to, baffles me. Yet again, they would not do it because they received their monies. The debt counsellor would have also made noise about it. But no one said anything because we are all aware that the account was duly paid up to the last payment of R0.21.

NDC as my debt counsellors should stand up for this as there is clearly gross omission between the creditor and the payment distribution company, and it has huge bearing on innocent consumers.

Despicably, the payment distribution company used by NDC, or maybe more appropriately, NDC plans to debit my account in 2 days time for the money that has long been paid to Rage, over 2 years ago. This is gross disregard of my rights and daylight *******. The debit you intend running towards Rage is ******* and amounts to *****.
