I had a 2 years cellphone contract with Nashua Mobile. A month before the contract expired I walked into their branch at Wonderboom Junction to inform them that I wouldn't be renewing the contract as it is expected when one want to discontinue the services. It has since emerged that the contract was renewed on my behalf without my knowledge or consent. I learned about this renewal when I was contacted by debt collector on behalf of the Autopage Altech who have apparently taken over from Nashua mobile. I was then advised to visit an Autopage Altech branch to inquire about this alleged account against my name. At a branch in Gezina Galleries I was told that my previous (disputed) contract was renewed telephonically and a device was delivered to my old address. The date claimed for the alleged receipt of the device is after I had moved from my old address and I have no knowledge of the exchange. I was advised by the sales lady at Gezina Autopage to write an affidavit at a police station to narrate this, which I subsequently did. I filled in a forms at the store and filed the affidavit with the documentation I was made to complete for this to be resolved and to date its unresolved
