Contract Expired

My contract expired sometime in 1997 and I was threatened with legal action if I did not pay. I went through financial difficulties at the time. I paid all the outstanding monies owed and now after more than 15 years I am being harassed by a debt collector. I must call this number ***. I think my number with them was ***. What do you do?
