Stay Away from NAKED!!!!

in July I had a claim with Naked, it seemed to go well and fast- about 4 days. except- despite my protests and my begging them to send it to iStore, they sent my iPhone to an unauthorized repairer (DEVICE DOCTOR), Device Doctor fitted a screen that was marked 'lost' (A ****** SCREEN) and couldn't calibrate it but returned it as is hoping I wouldn't notice- when I noticed Naked took me on a runaround until I had to agree to send my phone back to this repairer to fix the issue- something I was completely against and this is well documented. after nearly two weeks of trying, last week they finally admit they couldn't fix it and finally sent it to iStore- iStore deemed the device unrepairable due to Device Doctors work. my phone is an iPhone 15 which is worth R19499 online but Naked is trying to force me to accept R11000 and take my losses- I will be referring this to the Osti- just wanted to warn people.

Hi Ntombedinga

We are truly sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. Please know that your satisfaction is our top priority, and we take your feedback seriously.

Please note that we assess all claims on a case-by-case basis. In your situation, the device was initially deemed repairable, so a replacement was not required at that stage. Unfortunately, despite the repairs, the issues persisted, which led to the recommendation to replace the device.

Our replacement quotes are based on the current market value of your device, which may differ from the insured amount. It is important to regularly update your insured value using our app to avoid under-insurance, where your coverage is too low, or over-insurance, where you are paying more than necessary. Please note that the settlement was based on the remainder of your specified amount. Please be assured that we are doing everything within the bounds of our policy to move forward and reach a conclusion.

You guys are clearly lying to save face and I will correct the record. There is no ‘ISSUE THAT PERSISTED’ the screen was CRACKED and needed to be replaced.

It was replaced with a ****** screen which is why calibration failed, that is why it was sent back.

When your service provider failed to fix the calibration issue they sent it to iStore- who then found that the device is no longer repairable BECAUSE OF THE WORK DONE BY THE DEVICE DOCTOR.

You are lying here about ‘the issue persisted’
