Short paying claims
Naked Insurance is a ****. I insured my iphone and apple watch in April 2024. I was ****** of my items this year December and I submitted a claim. The claim was approved and i got communication that they are sourcing the products. I wait for another 5days. They finally respond and they couldn't find the apple watch or the phone. They could only source a different phone model. I requested to get a voucher but to my shock. My phone was valued at R28000 when I bought it, I covered it for R30000. They only want to pay out R20000. The watch was covered for R6000 and they are paying that amount out on the watch. They have ****med me R8000 on the phone. Never in my life have I dealt with such incompetence. The staff is not very helpful either. They will send you from pillar to post.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We truly appreciate it, and we want you to know that we take your concerns seriously. Our goal is always to ensure that our clients fully understand how their cover works.
When it comes to electronic items, we insure them based on their current market value. That’s why it’s a good idea to regularly update the replacement value of your items through the app. This ensures you’re not paying too much for your cover or getting overinsured, especially in the event of a claim.
In the event of a claim, if we can find a replacement, the total cost won’t go beyond the insured amount listed in your policy. This process aligns with the terms and conditions in the policy wording.
