Seamless, Transparent & Honest

I had an unfortunate accident with my very expensive Razer Blade laptop, which caused the trackpad to crack and the battery to swell, making it inoperable. Luckily I had it insured with Naked and so I reported the incident through their app.

Within days, a courier came to collect my device and took it for analysis and repair by Device Doctor. A few days later Device Doctor confirmed that they were not able to repair the device, so Naked gave me the option to reimburse me with a voucher to the value of the device insurance minus excess.

I opted for a Takealot voucher and received it shortly after, and even though I was not able to find the exact same device, I was able to replace it with another laptop with even better specifications.

The entire process was transparent and the communication was honest and efficient. Big shout out to Phindile Mathonsi for being awesome throughout my claim application.

One piece of feedback I could leave is that, given it's not feasible to refund cash to the claimant, it would be amazing if Naked could partner up with Wootware and Evetech for computer and laptop vouchers & replacements, as they have the kind of gaming laptop options that are to spec, but also more affordable than other retailers.

Other than that, it has all been a seamless experience, despite the stress of having damaged an expensive laptop. Once my new device arrives I'll definitely be putting it right back on Naked insurance ^_^
