Rejected claims
I have had a few bad experiences with Naked but the claim I made yesterday takes the cup. 1st you cannot add a portable item to your contents cover unless its above R5k, & when you try & claim you are told the item is not covered as it is not specified. What the hell is the point of home contents? Last year my premiums went and access went up by almost 20% & I let it go. They have declined my other phone claim due to wear and tear. After almost 5 yrs with the company with 2 cars & home contents it's time I take my business elsewhere. So not worth the energy. Customer satisfaction is definitely your motto.

To provide clarity here, you are not covered for accidental damage to any item unless you specify it. Accidental damage is an optional benefit and is not included under your general home contents and in order to specify items you would need to add it on the app under the Items of five thousand section.
Items that are specified also get additional cover, such as accidental damage whereas non-specified items are only covered for theft and fire.
It's important to note that accidental damage coverage extends to all items, regardless of whether they are over five thousand or not.

03 May 2024, 17:04I will be cancelling my policy with you then. I will move my items to insurer that does cover accidental damage, because clearly you do not do insurance right.
