One-Star Review — Naked Insurance

⭐ **1 Star — and honestly, that feels generous.**

**Please, please stay away from Naked Insurance.**

It has now been **4 weeks since I lodged my claim**, and I have discovered that “Naked” apparently doesn't just refer to the insurance company — it also describes their **customer service, accountability and willingness to actually help a paying customer.**

I can now understand why their service provider provides so little service. It seems Naked Insurance has decided that the best way to manage claims is simply to **wait long enough and hope the customer gives up.**

I have dealt with **Danielle and Tspeo**, and calling their approach “customer service” would be an insult to actual customer service. Arrogant, rude and completely uninterested in resolving the issue.

Then came one of my favourite explanations.

I was told I **“can't speak to my supervisor because they don't know anything and they don't work in my department.”**

😂

What an absolutely fascinating management structure.

Apparently, at Naked, supervisors are kept safely away from the departments they supervise because they don't know anything about them. Suddenly the four-week delay makes a lot more sense.

Then we get to **Luyanda**, who is handling my claim.

I asked to speak to him and was told he was **on a call with the service provider**.

Then, apparently, he wasn't on a call. He was **in a meeting with his manager**.

When I questioned the conflicting stories, I was effectively made to feel like I was stupid and told that **nobody was lying to me**.

Well, here's the funny part:

I established that Luyanda was, in fact, **not on a call with the service provider**. He had apparently sent an email to a service provider that doesn't answer.

So let me get this straight:

**4 weeks. Multiple calls. Multiple excuses. Unanswered emails. A service provider that doesn't answer. Staff who don't want to take ownership. And a supervisor who apparently can't help because they “don't know anything.”**

Brilliant.

This isn't an insurance claim anymore. It's apparently a **team-building exercise to see how long a customer can remain patient before completely losing the will to live.**

I'll give Naked one thing: **their premiums look attractive.**

Of course, paying a low premium is fantastic — **right up until you actually need the insurance.**

That's when you discover that the cheap premium comes with the optional **“good luck, you're on your own” package.**

Insurance isn't tested when everything is fine and you're happily paying every month. It's tested when something goes wrong and you need the company you paid to protect you.

After four weeks, Naked has made one thing very clear:

**They are exceptionally good at taking your premium. The actual “insurance” part seems to be considerably more complicated.**

My advice?

**Don't get Naked.**

Because when you actually need them, you might find yourself standing there wondering where the service went.

And judging by my experience, it's probably **“in a meeting with their manager.”** 🤡

**Naked Insurance — great premiums, absolutely naked when it comes to accountability and service.**

1 star because Google unfortunately doesn't let me give **zero.**
