Naked Insurance worst insurance company stay away.
Run away from naked insurance! You will regret joining them!! I took out comprehensive cover on the 30th of September. My claim is currently in process. On the 5th of October I met in an accident with my vehicle. I had to avoid a taxi that came onto the oncoming lane( My lane) and went of the road and into a ditch, the taxi continued driving. I had my wife and 21 month old child in the car. Soon after a towing truck was on the scene and wanted to recover the vehicle, he assured me that his done work for naked and is insurance approved. So I gave him go ahead as my only concern was my wife and child who was crying uncontrollably at this point and I needed to get to the doctors to be checked up.
We went to the doctor and straight after I went to the police station and logged the accident.
It took naked 5 days to recover the vehicle once recovered and claims procedure started that's when the nightmares started.
Each and every update I had to request for, it seems as there was no movement until I requested information or an update. Yesterday I was advised that the claim will now have to go for validation as there wasn't enough evidence or 3rd party information.
The quantam that caused me to swerve off the road continued driving off. I've given them confirmation that we went to the doctor straight after the doctor even prescribed medication for my back when he could tell was sore from the accident. They have the tow truck driver contact details who recovered the vehicle from the scene of the accident I provided my brothers details he who collected my family and I from the scene of the accident.
This afternoon at 16:27 pm I received an email from the validator that's requesting the below. 1. Repair history and service history for the vehicle - not related to the accident 2. Proof of previous insurance- not related to the accident 3. Vehicle purchase information & proof of payment- not related to the accident 4. Photo of the police report. Related to the accident, logged at the police. But where does it say we should take a picture of this. I just have the accident report number. A normal citizen would not think to take a picture of this. How do you even go about obtaining this.
Here's the icing on the cake The service history is in the vehicle in their storage yard, I dont even know where that is. The letter says that they believe that they've given me sufficient time to obtain the documents. In essence the time provided is 8 and a half working hours.
Should I not send the documents at 9 am on Friday morning my claim will be rejected. I dont know how to get access to my vehicle I dont know how to obtain the accident report All this has to be done tomorrow, I will still have to get approval for time off at work.
This is a big company taking advantage of a consumer!
Stay away.
I received the email at 16:27 tried to call them on the number provided to express my concern and the voice prompt says its out of business hours.

I called since 8am in the morning to get a hold of the validator(to express my concerns about the timeframe given to me) only to be told that she won't be in for the day as she is out for a workshop and won't be available for the day.
Ive had to take time of work, went to Auction Nation, get the service history ( Which should have been checked, when assessment was done by assessor in my opinion)
Went to the police station, pay to get access to my accident report.
Ive now submitted all my documents and waiting for the workshop to be finished so that I can hopefully get the validator to review docs. Ive even submitted my last diesel slip just to be safe.
Ive called through to see that if the documents submitted are correct because if not, then I can correct whilst I'm still off and unfortunately no one apart from the validator can confirm.
Tieho, the claims handler from the beginning has been on the phone with me back and forth from the morning to see where she can assist and also cannot comment to the verification of the documents.
The reply we've gotten from Nakeds hellopeter team is quite vague and doesn't seem to answer any of the statements made.
As a company, there should be back ups in place to assist should someone not be in.
Service history has nothing to do with the accident.
Proof of previous insurance hasn't anything to do with the accident.
Whom and where i purchased the vehicle hasn't anything to do with the accident.
Im not blaming the claims handler or the validator for going about the company policies.
From all of this information provided one would wonder what is the end goal?
To look for any reason to reject a claim??? Or to provide your client with the best service possible.
Because when insurance is being considered all that really matters is the outcome when it comes to the point you have a claim and nakeds only left a bitter taste in my mouth.
