NAKED INSURANCE TERRIBLE CLAIMS PROCESS

NAKED insurance is so pathetic when it comes to their claims process. At first, I was claiming for hail damage and the process took months to be finalized and I was not even happy with the final outcome. I was told that they don't have any panel beaters in Mthatha to fix my car and that I must find my own place to fix the car, naturally I drove to East London and got a few quotes, but one of the panel beaters told me that they do work with NAKED insurance in MTHATHA and I drove back (mind you I was told that the traveling costs and accommodation are all on me. Got back to Mthatha and they advised that they do work with NAKED insurance and that I was **** to (imagine my loss of money travelling up and down and booking places to stay just to get quotes that were later rejected, because their assessor who was assessing the car via pictures was right). I let it go.

Now the spoiler of my car fell off as I was driving on the N2 from Mount frere to Mthatha and I just got an email from Jaryd telling me that this is not a covered peril in my comprehensive insurance and that I must once again drive from Mthatha and go to a Chery Dealership in East London that happens to be over 200KM away at my own costs to get an assessment on the damage and they will decide afterwards what needs to happen.

Why doesn't their trusted assessor contact a Chery dealership to find out the cost of fixing this? Why am I once again being asked to run around like a headless chicken and handle this on my own only for them to tell me they will only decide afterwards what needs to happen?

Your claims process is very upsetting and inconvenient. I wish people knew how terrible your service actually is.

Hi Pumza we are sorry for your experience. We are actively working on your claim and an agent as reached out to explain why a damage report is needed for our assessor. An agent will reach out to provide further clarity.

I have provided all the information you guys wanted from me, instead I get told that even if I do drive the 200KM+ to get an assessment done on the car and an additional 200KM + coming back home, YOU WILL SEE how to proceed. And I must once again spend my own money driving around to get an assessment for a car that you might not even fix. How does that work? How is that not an inconvenience to me as a customer.
