Naked Insurance
This is a follow up, as I had written to Hello Peter and Naked Insurance promised to look into my claim. There has been no communication between me and the Insurance Company
On 25 April 2026, I lost my mobile phone and submitted a claim to Naked Insurance on the same day. On 29 April 2026, Naked Insurance responded and advised that they were unable to locate the ITC reference number I had provided. I promptly re-submitted the required documentation. Subsequently, I was also requested to provide CCTV footage of the location where the incident occurred. On 30 April 2026, I returned to the location where I had lost my phone to investigate the availability of CCTV footage. I established that there were no CCTV cameras at the incident location or in the surrounding area. I immediately communicated this information to Naked Insurance. Despite my cooperation and the submission of all information reasonably available to me, my claim was rejected on 7 May 2026. I will attach the relevant correspondence and supporting documents for reference. Furthermore, on 5 June 2026, Naked Insurance refunded two monthly premium payments of R256 each to my account. However, no explanation was provided regarding the reason for these refunds. This has added to my confusion regarding the handling of my claim and policy, and I would appreciate clarity on the matter.
