Household Insurance Policy wording warning
My claim experience was horrible, Pls read your policy wording before considering if the policy is suitable. I always had comprehensive house hold insurance and never had a problem claiming from other insurance companies, Naked do not cover unspecified Household items over R5000 for accidental damage.
Even though you load the app and everything is done so quickly, know you are not comprehensively covered, read the policy document.

09 Jan 2025, 14:14You understand that most other insurance companies don't have any of these little clauses in, do you understand a fully comprehensive product includes everything, As much as you want to point out its in the document which i accept i didn't fully read, nor did expect to have this type of problems. The reality is its not a Fully Comprehensive Cover product. I wish i knew this before taking this terrible product.

10 Jan 2025, 09:08If a household requires a R2 million cover for instance, how many items in that home do you think would be valued above R5,000? Comprehensive coverage should certainly assist if something is accidentally broken, which is why most household insurance policies don't usually require itemization. What you're offering now seems like fire and theft coverage, essentially.
The reason I find it mildly infuriating is that the app isn't designed to start cataloging all your items valued over R5,000. You only have to specify portable items, Surely if you have R2mil Household insurance you will have something worth more than R5000, and it’s only when you open the policy document that you find this specific clause. People will be bitterly disappointed, as I am, that they too were left feeling exposed and betrayed in their trust and belief that they made a great choice.
Now I question everything and have canceled my policies for my phone, household, and laptop. I can't trust that some other small piece of wording won't prevent a payout.
