Horrible experience with Naked insurance

Terrible experience with Naked insurance and their recommended panel beater, Dino Panel Beaters in Centurion. I took my car in for minor damage that was supposed to be repaired within a week, but it has now been over a month, and I am still waiting for my vehicle. Neither party has provided proactive communication or updates, forcing me to constantly follow up, only to receive conflicting information each time.

Initially, the panel beater admitted they had not assessed the car properly and failed to order all the necessary parts. Meanwhile, Naked claimed the car was in the assembly bay and nearly finished (this was during week two). Now, in week five, after further follow-ups, the panel beater revealed there was overspray on the car and it had been scratched. Despite committing to return the car today (the commitment in a week), they informed me at the last minute that they ordered the wrong light and couldn't explain why this issue was only discovered

This situation highlights Naked's failure to adequately vet their panel beaters.

Now I’m being told that the car is finished and currently being washed, but I’ll have to wait until the end of the week to get it. Can you explain what kind of cleaning takes an entire week?

Update : Naked responded by sending their assessor to the panel beater to ensure I received my car yesterday and that everything was in order. They also waived part of my excess, which demonstrated their commitment to resolving the issue and providing meaningful assistance. While it was disappointing that I had to escalate the matter to this extent to see such dedication, I am satisfied with the outcome and have chosen to remain with Naked.
