Dishonest building assessment after strong winds and hailstorm damage to the roof

I would like to raise a serious concern regarding the assessment of my building insurance claim with Naked following the hailstorms in November 2025.

I lodged the claim on the same day the incident occurred after part of my roof was damaged by strong winds and hail. I was informed that an assessor would be sent out. Due to persistent rain and a leaking roof, I requested urgent/emergency repairs, but this request was not attended to. As a result, I had to remain in a leaking house for almost a month.

I was later informed that my claim had only been partially approved. The ceiling repairs were approved, but the roof claim was rejected on the basis that the damage was allegedly due to lack of maintenance. The reasons provided were the presence of debris on the roof and cracked waterproofing.

Given that there had just been a severe hailstorm with strong winds, it is entirely reasonable that debris and cracked waterproofing would be present following such an event. I do not believe this assessment fairly reflects the actual storm-related damage. I feel the judgment was not objective and has left me vulnerable after paying monthly premiums in good faith to protect my property.
