Claim denied

I put in a claim for my windscreen the day it was damaged and after a year and a half of paying my premium they denied it because I did not have photos of my car before the windscreen was damaged. So when did they wanted me to take photos of my car. Between 6 and 6 when I was at work, in my house garage where there is no space or the middle of the road risking my life?
