Car Accident Claim: Frustration & Mentally Draining from External Claim Assessors

I recently had car accident (Written-Off) on the 15 March 2024 and notifying the NAKED team via the App for accident reporting and towing services it was very quick and easy, including opening the claim application was very quick and things started getting hectic when my Claim was handed to Hollard for review and administration by NAKED, so I have learned that technically we are insured with Hollard NOT necessarily NAKED … in their Contract it does indicate that Claims will be reviewed, assessed, rejected or approved by Hollard NOT NAKED... • During the Claim review I was requested to submit all my banking statements, • I was called to meet the assessor at the accident scene to explain what actually happed although two accident report were provided (SAPS & JMPD), • The tracking company was contacted for travelling report, • I was required the prove that the car has been well survived by providing proof of such, • I had to confirm all my residential address connected to my name, • I had to confirm my employment and work affairs, I must say, it felt like I was investigated for a committed crime, and it was frustrating and mentally draining. The Claim assessment took about three weeks to be finalized, as they kept on asking things in drips and drops and eventually got a payout at market value which took less than 2 days to reflect into my account.
