I really thought these guys were the holy grail of insurance! Easy sign up and assessment, cheap premiums and no annoying phone calls or brokers! BUT…. They gave me a great rate, debited my account ONCE and then 15 days letter send me an annual escalation letter despite the fact that I have never claimed or changed my cover! 15 days after taking out the cover!!!!!!!!

I called the call centre and asked how they can increase my premium after half a month of cover and they said “it’s an annual increase inline with CPI! I reiterated the fact that this was a new policy that was less than a month old!!!! Still they maintained its standard and they cannot intervene!

So… back to OUTsurance I went and they beat nakeds price by R300 a month with a 12 month no escalation guarantee!

So better the devil you know than the devil you don’t!

Don’t bother. I’ve moved back to OUTsurance and will be staying there for at least the next 12 months! Suggest you do the same before you send “annual premium increases”!!
