As a member of the South African National Defence Force i am deeply disappointed in the way they treat Soldiers , giving my life to protect the country but Naked can’t resolve any problems

I am extremely disappointed with Naked Insurance. As a soldier frequently away on deployment, I rely on my insurance company to be straightforward and supportive. Unfortunately, Naked Insurance has been the opposite.

They never called me back, and when I finally managed to speak to someone, they rejected my claim, citing that my insurance was on "cover pause." I came back from deployment and forgot the cover pause was still active, but I was still paying premiums every month. The only difference was I was paying half the premium, yet they refuse to approve my claim.

They tell you how much they care about you, but they don't. How does an AI robot have feelings? You can't communicate and state your case effectively. It's been two months now, and nobody from Naked Insurance has called me or asked how I'm managing. They just don't care—they're a **** that just wants your money.

Despite this, they covered the towing and storage at SMD but refuse to pay for the actual damages. Each time I ask who will cover the damage, they point to the policy without offering real solutions. They never sent me any formal letter stating I didn't have full cover, nor did they confirm this with me directly.

Their reliance on AI makes it nearly impossible to resolve issues effectively. Initially, they said I had to pay for my car's storage myself, but when I mentioned writing a review on Hello Peter, they suddenly released my car from SMD.

Because of a simple button press that paused my cover, they are causing me problems and stress. The member that drove into me was a foreigner and doesn't have money to pay. He made a mistake, and I did nothing wrong.

Overall, Naked Insurance has caused me significant stress and financial burden. Their poor communication and lack of support make them an insurance provider to avoid .

Hi Francois,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment with the outcome of your claim and understand how frustrating and upsetting it must be to receive such news.

After thoroughly reviewing your claim, it was determined that the issue fell outside the scope of your policy cover. We always strive to follow due process to ensure all claims are handled fairly and according to the terms of the policy.

We regret not checking in with you after the claim was rejected. Your experience has highlighted an area where we need to improve our communication, especially in difficult situations like this.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding. If there’s anything more we can do or if you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Dear Naked

Thank you for your response. However, I am extremely dissatisfied with my claim being rejected, and I insist that it be reviewed immediately. I request to speak directly with the head of the department regarding this matter.

There was never an official letter sent to me confirming the cover pause, which indicates a serious lapse in your communication and process. The cover pause feature in your system is faulty and poses significant issues for your customers. It should be re-evaluated to prevent further problems.

Despite being on cover pause, I was still paying premiums every month, albeit half the amount. This demonstrates my commitment and trustworthiness as a member. I believe I deserve some form of assistance or compensation for the damages incurred.

I expect a prompt resolution to this issue and appreciate your immediate attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
Francois

Additionally, I fail to understand how, according to the policy, I am responsible for all costs, yet you still paid for the recovery, towing, and storage costs at SMD. Initially, you informed me that I needed to pay everything and that my claim was rejected. Only after I mentioned writing a review on Hello Peter did you cover these costs. However, when I inquire about my car's damages, the response is that the policy states I need to cover everything. This inconsistency in your actions suggests a failure to adhere to your own policy.

Furthermore, the individual who drove into me was a foreigner without the means to pay for the damages. I did nothing wrong in this situation, yet I am bearing all the costs and stress due to this cover pause issue. This is unacceptable.-
