Do not use “my trip” app to book flights ..

So I recently booked a flight with “ Mytrip” from Cape Town to Cebu . On the day I made the booking , I received an email from my company asking me to cut my vacation shorter . I requested a letter from my company to send to Mytrip agents in order to cancel return flight to Cape Town as I am to go to Dubai for a work assignment . As requested by “my trip “ agent I cancelled my return flight on the 6 th August .. but yet I have not received my refund .. Wvwryday I am getting the same excuse . and no one at my trip is actually following up with airline ( Qatar airways ) . They sent me a refund status but the refund status does not reflect on Qatar airways app when I search my booking .

When we as Travelers book flights .. we pay immediately.. and yet when we have to cancel It takes up to. 10 to 15 days to refund and we pay a penalty ( which is understandable) However, I do expect a much faster turnaround time for refunds .. Booking agents do not give us an option on “booking now and paying later “ so ..So if I cancel now … Pay me now … return my funds immediately. The use of delaying tactics must come to an end . Poor excuse .. Lying to clients .. I can go on…
