STEER AWAY AND AVOID UTTER DISSAPOINTMENTM

Please steer away from these people. We are looking into buying into a holiday club. When we received a call saying that they would like to provide us with a FREE 7 day accommodation break away and that NO PERSONAL INFORMATION WILL REQUIRED and NO PRESENTATION WILL BE NECESSARY. We took the offer and took a whole Saturday afternoon to waste our time. Upon arrival we had to fill in a form will ALL our personal information and low and behold we had to attend a presentation. Afterwards we were met with a consultant which off course promised the moon and the stars and then hit us with the initial R25 000 buy in. We immediately said no thank you. He then gave us an alternative which we also said no thank you to and then offered an alternative with a R5000 deposit and a monthly instalment. We were hesitant and initially also said no. He then went on to explain that this is a one time offer followed by a couple of more lies and that if we put the R5000 down we have a week to think about it and if we still decide to cancel then we just let them know. We asked the question as to how long we will wait to get the deposit back and he said it will happen the moment we cancel. To our bitter regret we took the deal and paid the R5000. The following Tuesday we received a mail with our "contract" that we supposedly agreed to. In this contract that was somehow electronically signed by my husband we agreed to additional debit orders on his account. Upon contacting the head office to find out what was going on and that we would like to cancel immediately we were told that no terms and conditions are discussed during the consultation because they don't have time and that the people are only informed about the terms and conditions after they have somehow signed them electronically. They then offer all sorts of alternatives for you to keep you from cancelling and then also refuse the refund due to a vetting process and a auditing process etc etc. I have not yet tried to make use of the so called voucher that they provided us with but have spoken to some people that have tried and apparently is also not a free voucher. They work hand in hand with mytravelution.
