Special offers more expensive than going direct.
We were invited to attend a “talk” regarding the Nexus Group with the usual promise of a “travel voucher”. During the talk we were very interested and seriously thinking of signing up. I requested time to calculate if the R25 000.00 signup fee was value for money and was advised that if I did not sign up there and then I could not take up the offer at the same rate. I did not like being put under pressure there and then to make a call so I never signed up. Oh how glad I am!
A week later I received an email to redeem my travel voucher. The only free offer was a stay in Thailand or Bali for which you have to book your flights through them and pay an admin fee. Ok so lets look local they offered a stay in Plett at half price for two nights at Formosa Bay Resort at R2 550.00 plus and admin fee to be paid to Nexus going direct to their website for 3 nights stay with no admin fee was R2,295.00 which includes breakfast. So not only was booking directly cheaper but also you get breakfast and an extra night at less than the supposed travel voucher. I did a search on two others of their offer for a travel voucher and both were also cheaper by at least R500 going direct with other benefits like breakfast, cancelations and changes.
If these are the sort of offers their program give I thank the almighty we never signed up.
I came here to check out what the deal was with The neXus offer and couldn’t find anything useful so thought I would share our close call.
Looking at their website today's options:
28 free accommodation options- between 5 and 7 days free
34 discounted accommodation - different options of 1 to 3 days free for a weekend or 4 day stay. If you have not found an option you like, keep checking, new options every day

Lets see what is loaded today - Seasons Golf, Leisure & Spa great place people must go there. Your offer for 4 nights R3 080.00 Plus I must pay you admin fees and go when you say. If I book direct myself 4 night stay R3 348.00 no admin fees and if i cancel I get a full refund. So yes if I book with my amazing voucher i would save R69.00
I have screen shots of offers both from you and going direct so even if you report as false Hello Peter will not take it down as they true.
