So many promises but left a bad aftertaste

We originally signed up with Mytravelution in the end of November 2020. However the following day we saw many negative reviews on hellopeter and spoke to a few people during the following few days who all warned us about these travel companies. We then made use of our 7 day cancellation policy and couriered all the paperwork to Capetown. Since then we have been in bi-weekly contact with Felicia Solomons who is a Senior MLO officer in order to get our deposit back however to no avail. Her response on the phone and via e-mail is every time that she is following an audited protocol and she will notify me when the deposit will be available however no indication of a timeline is given. Its been 3 months and no sign of a refund. When they questioned us why we want to cancel, I responded every time, because of all the bad reviews I have read and heard. Then they responded by saying all companies always have some good and some bad reviews. The thing is I just really struggled to find any good reviews. So now I am adding my bad review to their already growing bad reputation. We wanted this to work and was thinking of joining again at another stage after Covid and travel becomes easier but they have proven themselves!! They do not honour their cool-off refund policy mandated by the consumer protection act. Stay away!!
